IR Revenue Earnings Up By 10.41 Percent

The total approximate earnings of Indian Railways on originating basis during April 1, 2011 to January 31, 2012, was Rs. 84155.40 crore compared to Rs. 76223.07 crore during the same period last year, registering an increase of 10.41 percent.
The total goods earnings have gone up from Rs. 50916.21 crore during April 1, 2011 to January 31, 2012, to Rs. 56247.30 crore during April 1, 2011 to January 31, 2012, registering an increase of 10.47 percent.
The total passenger revenue earnings during first ten months of the financial year 2011-12 were Rs. 23345.48 crore compared to Rs. 21336.88 crore during the same period last year, registering an increase of 9.41 percent.
The revenue earnings from other coaching amounted to Rs. 2353.55 crore during April 2011 to January 2012, compared to Rs. 2093.62 crore during the same period last year, an increase of 12.42 percent.
