COFC Logistics Announces New Intermodal Services
By Anuja Abraham
COFC Logistics announced a new intermodal service today that provides capacity for the growing intermodal marketplace. The service will allow IMCs, 3PLs, brokers and freight forwarders to be competitive and take full advantage of all the benefits intermodal has to offer.
This new ramp-to-ramp service allows shippers to utilize COFC Logistics’ 53’ double-stack containers moving on the BNSF network. The COFC service offering lets shippers manage their own network and if needed, provide them with the option of securing capacity on a long-term basis. The benefit to the customer is the ability to sell consistent, reliable Intermodal service with confidence.
“After more than 25 years of work in both the retail and wholesale sides of the intermodal industry, and a history of identifying market needs and producing ways to fulfill those needs, we saw an opportunity to service this segment of the market,” said Garry Old, founder and president of COFC Logistics, LLC. “This is a culmination of listening to our customers, understanding their needs and desires for something different. COFC creates an option that will be user-friendly and built with the non-asset-based users of 53’ intermodal service in mind.”
