Singapore-based Neptune Orient Lines (NOL) has announced that it has restructured its Asian container shipping business.
The new structure consolidates its existing regions in Asia from three to two – North Asia and South Asia.
The existing Greater China and Asia-Middle East regions will be combined into a single North Asia region.
The current President of NOL’s Asia-Middle East region, Jim McAdam, will be the President of the South Asia region (encompassing South East Asia, the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East and Australasia).
NOL’s current South Asia President Ken Glenn will take on the role of President North Asia.
The company also noted that Dan Ryan, who has been the President of NOL’s Greater China region since August 2006, is to take up a key role with the company in the United States.
The changes will take effect from the 1st of January, 2009.
