Yusen Logistics Co. Ltd. has begun streamlining its Captain Consolidation Service, its ocean export LCL services. As the first step towards its initiative, the company aims to provide one of the industry’s fastest LCL services for forwarding cargo received at Keihin Port, Japan, to Cebu, the Philippines.

To improve its export LCL services to Cebu, the company changed its shipping lines in late May. As a result, the transit time from the Port of Yokohama to Cebu has been shortened from 16 days to 14 days.

As the second step in its initiative, in late June Yusen Logistics will start improving its export LCL services to Vietnam. The company has changed its CFS and some of the shipping lines it uses for LCL services to Ho Chi Minh City, and will use a new CFS to upgrade its services to Haiphong.

Yusen Logistics plans to comprehensively overhaul its LCL services on other shipping routes as well in order to provide its customers with high-quality forwarding services.
